Pride

LGBT Pride, or Gay Pride, is the promotion of lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender people as a social group. Parades are held, usually in June, in many major cities of the world, the first one being in New York in June 1970. This was to commemorate the police raid on the Stonewall Inn, a gay bar, at Christopher Street, Greenwich Village in June 1969.

These pictures were taken in Berlin and Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
