In 2022 Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service.
The moving of the Spring Bank Holiday to Thursday, 2nd June provided many with a four day weekend.
Tributes and messages of congratulations to Her Majesty came from leaders all over the world.
Special displays and exhibitions were organised thoughout the country and it seemed every window, door, hedge and gate was festooned with bunting and flags.
